Greg Cherry

Business Development Director, Freeman EMEA

It’s important for visionary, strategic thinkers to be among others who inspire them — and in today’s business world, that means building a team of colleagues with a shared vision, as well as the ability to collaborate and share knowledge.

In his role as Business Development Director, Greg Cherry collaborates with Freeman’s Customer Experience, Creative, Business Development, New Business, Exhibitor Sales and Custom Build teams across the EMEA region to develop the company’s existing clients and their portfolios while engaging with new clients as well.

An industry veteran, Greg’s extensive knowledge and global experience in various roles within the exhibition and events industry provide him with a unique perspective. He has 18 years of experience in various industries, including aviation, healthcare, energy, defense and media, and most recently led the growth efforts of the commercial arm of ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company) — which is one of the largest venues in the Middle East.

It’s important for me and my team to be ever-present within our industry, continuing to represent the Freeman brand and our capability for delivering excellence across the globe. Because when we do our job well, Freeman maintains its reputation for creating opportunities for businesses and people to have meaningful interactions.

He also worked as portfolio director for companies including IIR (Informa) and UBM, handling the latter company’s second-largest business, with offices and exhibitions around the world. In addition, Greg served as Managing Director of Oxbow Media for two-plus years, and previously developed corporate events in Europe and the United States for Skype, Expedia and other major businesses.
