Program Manager - IT Infrastructure

As a program manager, you will be involved in all aspects of the project and development lifecycles and responsible for the successful delivery of new technology solutions that will be used by our employees and our external customers. We’re looking for individuals that show they can do whatever it takes to make sure that our technology projects/programs are successfully deployed. The right person for this position will be able to demonstrate creative energy and passion for delivering complex projects. You’ll be expected to communicate well and help lead and direct other team members in our quest to be the premier provider of solutions to the event industry.

Flexibility and adaptability are key. Some of the things we do have never been done before, so we need someone who can adapt both in thinking and learning new processes, applications and methods. You will occasionally be asked to travel to events and work with our Business Partners and other internal technology teams to ensure our technology solutions are deployed successfully.

  • Consistently find ways to solve customer and business partner problems with effective solutions that minimize effort yet produce high value solutions.
  • Help support our business partners in building a business case and define success criteria for the project prior to project approval.
  • Manage the development of polished executive-level presentations; delivers information to internal business partners in a clear and concise fashion
  • Provide leadership and facilitate the work of cross-functional teams by clarifying project objectives and defining tactics necessary to accomplish these objectives.
  • Manage a portfolio of multiple technology infrastructure projects including interdependencies between the work streams.
  • Drive cross-functional team members to develop detailed project schedules and milestones, project plans, budgets, scope, and timeline.
  • Develop project/program budgets and integrate program costs into the organization-level budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Ensure effective team identification of project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies; acts as an escalation point for the team and implements effective mitigation strategies by taking corrective action to achieve resolution project goals.
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the project team.
  • Communicate regarding the delivery of work products and services, planning efforts and personnel relationships within the organization and dependent resources.
  • Manage external delivery partners and contractors as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7+ years Program / Project Management experience.
  • Prior experience as an IT Project Manager is required.
  • Prior experience developing and managing project timelines, resources, vendors, and budgetary requirements for large, complex projects.
  • Prior experience in core infrastructure platforms is desired (i.e. networking, servers, storage, cyber security, data integration, telephony)
  • Strong background in application development methodologies, SDLC, Aglile, Scrum, and other IT industry standards.
  • Solid technical skills and background as needed to support the oversight and construction of infrastructure solutions and management of complex applications.
  • Solid technical understanding of multiple technologies
  • People management skills to lead and influence professional resources of high caliber.
  • Proven ability to manage in a matrix environment and partner within IT and business area representatives to lead and support critical technology infrastructure initiatives.
  • Experience with innovative & emerging technologies.
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer systems or related field.
