Fisher brings over 20 years’ sales and sales management experience to the company, including a number of years spent specialising in the area of bespoke exhibition stands, where he has worked with a series of world-class brands. Throughout this time Fisher has successfully won new business, managed existing client relationships and led sales teams to exceed their targets.
Fisher also previously enjoyed an extensive career in commercial radio, eventually becoming managing director of Mercia FM in Coventry. This broad-ranging experience ensures Fisher has both an in-depth understanding of the sales function and specialised knowledge of the brand experience industry – a unique combination of skills that he leverages to create meaningful, long-lasting relationships with corporate exhibitor clients.
In a move designed to grow the company’s bespoke stand offering in the region, the custom build team has welcomed Lucy Clarke as business development manager. Most recently employed at ExCeL London and with experience working for top organisers including Informa, DMG and Messe Frankfurt, Clarke brings invaluable experience to the role. Existing team member Mark Woods has also recently been promoted from business development executive to business development manager.
Chris Preston, managing director at Freeman in EMEA said: “Custom exhibition stands are integral to our business and the industry as a whole – they allow brands to tell their stories in compelling ways and in doing so form more meaningful relationships with their audiences. I am therefore thrilled to welcome David to Freeman. David brings strong leadership skills and a proven track record of success to the business, and I have every confidence in his ability to lead our custom build team to great success.
“As we enter our fifth year in the EMEA region, it’s amazing to see how far the business has come. In 2018, we’re as focused as ever on working with our clients to ensure they achieve their goals, by redesigning the industry, rethinking what brand experiences are capable of achieving, and pushing the boundaries of creative, strategy, service, planning and excellence in delivery.”
Fisher added: “I have a great passion for live events and it’s awe-inspiring to see brands come to life in these settings through custom stands that engage attendees in new ways. I am excited to be joining Freeman, and by the prospect of further strengthening relationships with our organiser clients to provide their exhibitors with bespoke solutions that go above and beyond their expectations.”
