The National Retail Federation (NRF) is the largest trade association for retailers, representing everyone from mom and pop stores right up to the largest global retailers. The annual NRF Conference & Expo is the world’s largest event in the industry, attracting 38,000 attendees, 16,000 retailers, and 800 exhibitors from 99 countries. Because the expo is such an important revenue generator for the association, NRF challenged Freeman to deliver a better way for exhibitors to view, select, and purchase sponsorship opportunities at the event.
Seeing the Difference
Freeman wanted to transform the way potential sponsors experienced the facility during tours. Using drones and panoramic cameras to capture a 360° view of the event space, Freeman produced detailed images that showcased how and where attendees would see sponsorship and marketing messages as they walked into the show. This visualization would enable potential sponsors to immediately understand the potential ROI from different sponsorship options and facilitate their purchase decisions.
Diving Right In
The next step was to showcase these images — a challenge solved beautifully by Envision Pro by Freeman™. The team created a custom website tailored to the NRF event that featured these dramatic images. Via the website, potential sponsors could virtually walk into the building and around the show floor, looking through the attendees’ eyes when standing in particular locations.

Freeman generated over 1,300 website visits from potential sponsors, ensuring the NRF sales team was able to communicate exactly what sponsors get for their investment and the value of each sponsorship opportunity.
