Take a self-guided tour of how Freeman approached designing our eco-friendly IMEX booth.

Design Process
Sustainability is at the forefront of our booth build, here’s how we did it:
- It had to be sustainable, beautiful, engaging, impactful, innovative, and hospitable
- Collaborated with project managers and environmental designers
- Partnered with our fabrication team for final input and suggestions
- Build and brought booth to life
Of course, there’s a little more to it, so let’s walk through each element.

Flex by Freeman
Our modern rental system allows for flexible, sustainable complex structures:
- Reduces solid waste with reusable, recycled aluminum structures.
- Shipping weight is significantly reduced, which means fewer carbon emissions

Wooden Slats
We wanted to bring in an element of nature to really ground the booth, while also being eco-friendly.
Here’s how we did it:
- We used recycled wood
- Instead of staining, we’ve used sustainable adhesive laminates
- And you guessed it…we can reuse this material time and time again

AV Wall
Yep, this entire AV wall is made of rented LED panels. In addition to renting and re-using, all Freeman AV equipment is energy star rated, the government-backed symbol for energy efficient products. We also power-down this AV wall each night to reduce energy consumption.

Flooring
Our focus isn’t solely on sustainability. Comfort and aesthetics are crucial. So sometimes, we need to sacrifice to accommodate our attendees or budget. That’s the case with our flooring this year:
- We selected vinyl flooring and are planning on reusing it all year
- We use Soy Ultrastep Padding under the flooring to ensure our guests are comfortable.
