To further this mission and to accelerate positive change, we launched IDEA. It’s our commitment to the Freeman team that they will be treated with respect and that their voice is valued. The intention is to connect our people in meaningful ways regardless of race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, veteran status, or anything else that makes us different.
We will continue to emphasize the importance of embracing and valuing our collective differences through IDEA and its special interest communities and committees.
We’re excited to be part of the newly formed Diversity in Design (DID) Collaborative, a group of companies that recognize that diversity is our greatest creative advantage and are coming together to foster systemic change in increasing diversity in design across disciplines.
The DID Collaborative will illuminate design career paths for underrepresented high school and college-aged students and create bridges to eventual employment opportunities.

We believe in leaving the planet a better place than we found it. That means doing our part to discover innovative solutions to protect the environment that sustains us.
Sustainability isn’t just an “add-on.” It’s woven into everything we do.
Our sustainability agenda focuses on the biggest impact areas within the industry. With smart practices, eco-friendly material, outreach, and education, we can minimize the environmental
impact of events. To that end we are working to reduce our carbon footprint by focusing on our waste, resources, energy, people, and products.
Prioritizing eco-conscious choices makes a difference not only because it’s good for the environment, but because it’s good for business.
Through initiatives large and small, we’re working to help our customers make a lasting impact on their audiences, not the environment.
Here are a few ways we’re going green on-site:
We recently participated in the United Nations Climate Conference, COP26, to announce our commitment to net zero carbon by 2050, and by 2030 to reduce GHG emissions by 50%. We’re working to do that through a variety of initiatives including our Zero Waste program.
This initiative works towards reducing our environmental footprint by exploring where we can minimize or eliminate waste throughout our supply chain and create a business model where sustainability is incorporated into every part of our business strategy. Our Sustainable Standards for events are built into the service offerings we provide at every show. These standards ensure we are designing with sustainability in mind — before, during, and after the show.
