LONDON, UK – 18 February 2015 – Freeman, the leading global partner for integrated experience marketing solutions, and FreemanXP, the company’s in-house brand experience agency, will discuss trends that are driving change in the events industry and unveil its recommendations for connecting customers in this new and changing market at International Confex. Scheduled for February 18-19 at Olympia, London, International Confex is the UK’s leading and longest-standing event for the MICE industry, connecting buyers, suppliers, venues and destinations.

Freeman continues to make strategic investments in international markets and has created European operations for all three of the Company’s divisions – FreemanXP, Freeman Expositions and Freeman Audio Visual – as part of its long-term strategic plan to address the accelerating needs of the changing marketplace.

“As part of our strategy, the Expo, AV and FreemanXP teams in EMEA are working together to ensure clients are ready to respond to the changing behaviour and preferences of the technology-enabled customer,” said Joe Popolo, CEO of Freeman. “No longer defined by isolated experiences, today’s brands need to create more meaningful relationships through integrated, multi-touch engagement campaigns focused on creating customer experiences across a number of marketing channels both live and online, and deliver them on a global basis.”

While at International Confex, EMEA-based teams from Freeman Expo and FreemanXP will be on hand to address key trends within the unique Trend Lab at stand CB39. The Trend Lab will provide a forum for event owners to discover how they can create more strategic, creative and integrated marketing programs on a global scale. The lab will feature over 30 trends that impact the ability of event owners to connect with attendees in meaningful ways.

Kim Myhre, SVP, International, FreemanXP will present key trends driving change in the events industry on Wednesday 18 February at 3.30pm in the keynote theatre, sponsored by Freeman Expositions and FreemanXP.

In addition, Joe Popolo, Freeman’s CEO will present the welcome address at the Confex Power Lunch, also sponsored by Freeman Expositions and FreemanXP, on Thursday 19 February for the top 50 influencers in the exhibition industry.

“Our combined teams fuel growth and innovation for our customers by helping them better understand the trends that are driving change,” said Popolo. “Our customers and clients are looking to Freeman to provide the vital insights, resources and industry-leading services they need to connect with their customers in meaningful ways and to achieve their complex and increasingly global business objectives.”
