The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) wanted to increase attendee engagement in its conference program sessions. We used our FXP | touch second screen platform to invite greater communication between speakers and audience members via instantaneous polling and assessment.

During the event, ASLA received more participation, data, and insights than ever before. Of the almost 1,000 individuals who attended the seven conference sessions, the majority logged in and used FXP | touch. When asked to evaluate the sessions, respondents gave an overall average approval rate of 93.5 percent. When asked if they would recommend the session to colleagues, on a scale of 0 to 10, the average response was 8.7. Also, when asked if they received information that could be applied to their jobs, the average response was 8.3.

One attendee declared that “All of the sessions at ASLA should use the FXP | touch platform — it was great!”

What’s more, the presenters felt the second screen technology helped them better engage their audience. As one presenter explained, using FXP | touch “felt like it kept people engaged, and having a gauge for the audience's understanding, perspective, and insights was very helpful real-time feedback.”
