The Microsoft Tech Summit brings together Greater China technical professionals from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong for the first time. The two-day conference aims to provide an opportunity for thousands of IT professionals, decision makers, partners, developers, and fans to learn the latest developments and explore the value Microsoft can bring to their organizations. As a partner of the Microsoft Tech Summit, our mission is to recruit, gather, and engage with attendees, showcase Microsoft's cutting-edge technologies, and ensure a smooth execution of the conference held in Shanghai Expo Centre.

Engaging interactivity

We designed a variety of interactive touch points to strengthen audience engagement. An interactive exhibition area showcased leading-edge products such as the HoloLens, Surface, and XBox. In addition to 40+ hands-on labs, 40+ sponsor booths, and 170 breakout sessions, five theme nights were planned to allow attendees to talk about the latest trends, dicsuss solutions, and exchange ideas. The themes included a Women Happiness Forum, Microsoft Fans’ Night, MR Night, AI Night, and Microsoft Loves Startups Night.

To amplify the content to reach wider audiences in Greater China, we partnered with key online channels to live broadcast conference content on Netease, Zaker News, and

Gaming the system

We worked with InfoSalons, a Freeman Company, to develop a WeChat-based mini-program that allowed attendees to access registration details, conference agenda, information guides, and participate in a lucky draw. Participants used the points scored from interactive activities for the lucky draw to win air tickets, a Surface, and a new Surface Go. An “AI Juice Bar,” which could be customized according to mood and age, became the highlight of the event.

Attracting inspired attention

The event attracted over 3,000 developers and technology enthusiasts, and the main conference live broadcast attracted over 5.2 million online viewers. Microsoft technology and products exhibited during the event sparked a lot of potential consumers, partners, and technology enthusiasts to experience and consult. The event was reported by many mainstream media such as,, and, and it also triggered tremendous pick up on social media.
