Porsche was the key sponsor of PhotoFairs Shanghai for the second year in a row. A top international art fair, PhotoFairs showcased modern photography in China and Asia Pacific and served as an opportunity for the brand a chance to celebrate Porsche’s 70th year anniversary. We wanted to create an emotional connection between the brand and the audience via photography, art, and stories.
Creating a timeless vision
Working with artists with a connection with Porsche through new or existing work, we created a showcase at Shanghai Exhibition Centre for not only seven decades of Porsche’s heritage, but also its vision, design, and performance via timelessness. This showcased how Porsche’s distinctive brand and engineering DNA continues to inspires photographers throughout the decades.
A tour through the ages
Guests walked clockwise around the domed central hall to experience the 1950s to 2000s. Each decade linked to a milestone: Genesis and origins; Timekeepers and Le Mans; Expanding to a New World & America; New Era and a new generation of Porsche lovers; and Porsche cars.
Film, audio, photo, literature, and VR experiences brought the narrative to life. An interactive WeChat mini app was created to offer visitors a live audio tour, with a location-based feature that helped drive engagement and commerce at the same time.
