David Butler

As Chief Growth Officer for Kids II, David Butler is responsible for design, data & insights, marketing, and venturing. Kids II believes that every family should have the opportunity to reach a bright future – a future realized through thousands of tiny wins, not big leaps. Kids II makes it easier for early-stage parents to create these tiny wins through its super brands like Baby Einstein.

Prior to Kids II, David led Coca-Cola’s seed-stage venturing platform called Coca-Cola Founders, designed to co-create new, high-growth startups by connecting repeat founders with some of Coca-Cola’s biggest challenges. David joined Coca-Cola as its first head of design where he established a cross-functional, systems-based approach to design across more than 200 countries.

Over the course of his career, David has advised many brilliant, yet failed dotcoms and designed large-scale systems for UPS, Delta, and CNN. He also co-founded a startup called, and helped Gucci, United, and Caterpillar become digital companies.

In 2009, David was named, “Master of Design” by Fast Company and to Forbes’ “Executive Dream Team” in 2013. He’s the co-author of “Design to Grow: How Coca-Cola Learned to Combine Scale and Agility (and How You Can Too),” published in more than 30 countries. David is the proud father of three daughters and husband to a serial entrepreneur.
