Another common AV question is, “Why do I need two projectors for a session?” The reality is that projectors rely on complicated computing and lamps that sometimes fail. The light bulb in our living room will fail at some point, just as it will with a projector. Should the untimely bulb failure happen during your event, you have a back up to keep the presentation rolling. Also just like our laptops, computers sometime lock up, and so can a projector’s computer system. The backup projector is an assurance that no one notices unlikely and unpreventable failures. 

Delay screen for optimum visuals

Do you need an extra screen for the audience in the back rows? The traditional formula is this: measure the height of your main stage screen and multiply it by ten. If this number is less than the distance to the last row, you probably should invest in an extra screen, or what is known as a delay screen. If that’s not feasible, make sure to utilize bold and large content in your main stage screens.

Elevate for the best presentation sound

Make sure the quality of your sound system is second to none. Whenever possible, we prefer to fly the speaker arrays for best coverage, but as with all things involving rigging, that solution can come as an upgrade and with additional complexity. Room design can be a contributing factor — as exposed steel, curved walls, cement, and windows can wreak havoc on sound through reverberation — so you’ll need a highly-qualified audio engineer to design the audio components and layout for that space that may include room accommodations of drape and carpet for a superior solution.
